Hola,

So, the Disk speeds are normal ?

I mean, for this Trash server whethever is it good or bad ?

Comments

  • This isn’t normal. I used to have one of those with a 256GB SSD. Disks speeds weren’t especially good, but still around 250-300 MB/s.

Oh I see. Must be a bad drive then?

Probably 1 of 2 things, they have the port set to Sata 2 or the disk is very old and almost dead, or a mix of both.

Disk seems failing & they take huge time to replace though. ?.

Anyway no use of pushing them.

For the price it seems okay.

These are dev & fun project purpose right ? @AnthonySmith

At least it wasn't "how to x" without a question mark, making the thread look like a how-to guide..

    Noted boss

  • I would install smartmontools and check the SMART data on it, if they have it enabled in the BIOS. Should be able to check lifetime writes or lifetime remaining. Those speeds seem quite low.

Cheap dedis are my drug, and I'm too far gone to turn back.
