Free EUServ IPv6 only VPS - 1 vCore, 1 GB RAM, 10GB HDD, 1 Gbit/s

Just found this:

EUServ is certainly not among my favourite providers but hey! It's free :)

https://www.euserv.com/en/virtual-private-server/root-vserver/v2/vs2-free.php

Or get an IPv4 for 1€/month extra and make it a nice 12€/year IPv4 VPS :)

Just keep in mind it's 1 Core @ 1 GHz.

I haven't signed up tbh. However, as a matter of fact, I wanted to dive a bit into IPv6 (head first) so this might actually be a good opportunity to give that a go. Afterall, it's free. It's only 1 GHz so I wouldn't expect much but for a freebie who am I to complain?

There's probably some cool use cases even for shit like this on #awesome-selfhosted :)

Overall EUServ has not quite the best reputation for being performant and/or stable and I am sure @Neoon or others would take a piss at them sooner than later, but it is what it is: Free.

Paying for their service is another story though. I wouldn't with other options out there these days.

Interesting to see, that people are trying to generalize my so called "piss".
As I said before, the price tag is irrelevant at any time for me, the question is how big they fuck up.

Damn, your core has 3.x GHz. The offer in the OP only says 1GHz. Maybe when you got yours a while back (?!) they offered more :P

As I said before, the price tag is irrelevant at any time for me, the question is how big they fuck up.

So I do not understand, why people look at the price and instantly "piss".
If someone manages to kill their network for 7 hours, no matter what you pay them, I would classify that as big fuck up.

I agree that there is different quality between free services. However, if it's a freebie and it was to have lots of downtime I wouldn't complain. I'd stop using it and be done with it, I guess. If, like you said, due to reasons, you don't want to touch them with a 7 meter pole that's totally understandable, too. Some free services are good, some are meh and some are bad. InfinityFree has served me quite well, for example. Ofc, they have had their fair share of hickups, too. People are also frequently complaining about their free sites being deleted "without reason". I still keep using them for some hobby projects. To everyone their own.

  • @Ympker
    Yeah.
IOP is great too. Better than My Oracle freebie. ;)
Did you try their always free VM.
Only need a card with test transaction which is reversible.
