Hi @David! Nice to see you! Greetings from Mexico! No need for the server here, but it looks like a good deal. Hope someone will take it! :)

I hope everyone gets the servers they want!

  • Hi @Not_Oles ! Yeah it's quite good for the bucks it costs. I intended on having it as a offsite backup but ipv6 only made it never work for me

  • IPv6 only? Without IPv4 NAT? This would be great for me for backups, but with IPv6 I may just not be able to use it on some VPS. Anyway, how much do you want in the VPS?

    Thanked by (1)david
  • @alvaro Yeah sadly this deal was ipv6-only. You can use a ipv4 NAT tho but I got too busy so I haven't touched this server since I bought it last year

Basicly I don't want anything for it, except the transfer fee (if there is any @servarica_hani ?) and maybe a little donation. Since I would cancel it anyways I think it would be good if someone else has a use for it

  • I also have one and used it as nextcloud. Performance is good for the price.

  • @chocolateshirt Yeah it's awesome. For my work I sadly need to store all data in Germany or at least EU (thanks to EU and GDPR).

@david - I shall take it. Sent you a message.

  • @david , i advise you to keep it... you will not find ever that disk size/price again.

  • @ehab Yeah that's right. But I have way too many VPS unused  I also got another host solutions 1TB for 16$/year I don't use. If it would have ipv4 it would be a no brainer.

  • just think about 500GB redundancy. as far as i know the host solutions is a secondary backup because of frequent datacenter issues in last years.

well, you know what is right for you and hopefully it will find a new owner "lucky".

    Thanked by (1)david
  • Yeah I considered as as backup storage but I would need to fully encrypt everything on there to suit the european data security laws. The list of vps I got which are only idling is too long but I guess that's why we all met here right?

  • I will join the queue if @VPN does not take it for some reason. Now that my ISP is fully supporting IPv6 it would be great.

  • Foxo would happily take it :)

  • Hey guys, so far no update from @servarica_hani on how we actually can transfer it. For other providers I know and have done it before but for servarica I got no experience yet. If someone of you knows the procedure I would be grateful

Use a IPv6 tunnel broker or VPN via a cheap yearly LES box ?

I tried he tunnel broker but it doesn't seem to work on windows... I have a idling vps with ipv4 and ipv6 support... so how do you recommend I can use it to connect to this vps? Any tutorial or guide is helpful. Tia

Wireguard is the simplest one, just use installer script like https://github.com/Nyr/wireguard-install on your dual stack IP idling VPS

  • Servarica (@servarica_hani ) has a weird procedure of service transfer. It requires both the giver and receiver to order some product and not pay for it, in order to pass abuse/fraud checks. It does not matter if both giver and receiver are active customers, with active services in accounts, which successfully passed the fraud checks in the past, they still have to do this. Anyway, I complied, everything seems good, but still no transfer after 2 days.

@david - any issues on your side?

  • @VPN They wrote me the server was successfully transferred. Have fun my friend!

For the others I'm still consolidating my servers, I'll probably got more for transfer

You should list all the remaining ones too when they're ready for transfer.

Yeah good idea. So far it probably will be a 1 TB storage server at hostsolutions and a couple of Netcup VPS 200 (discounted for 1,69€/month).
But I'm looking for some new storage vps, preferable in Germany or Europe because of GDPR

So far my ideas where nexusbytes or inceptionhosting, any other ideas?

    Thanked by (1)bdl

  • Netcup is in Germany, so it's under GDPR. HostSolutions is in Romania, also under GDPR. I guess you run away from Trump's new firewall and monitoring system?

    LiteServer.nl are highly regarded.

  • @david simply list what you have and what you would like in return (whether is specific money, whatever donation, or some other offer to swap).

    Meanwhile, thank you.

I second this. Used one of their storage boxes for ~2 years, never had any problems.
