I've got some spare space on one of my OVH Montreal, Canada (BHS) servers. Might have some other locations for Black Friday, but don't bet on it. 10 limit.

  • RAIDz1 (ZFS version of RAID 5), so use this for secondary cold backups, as having two disks fail is possible. Expect slow speeds, and you'll be pleasantly suprised

  • Hammering the disk nonstop will lead to I/O limitations

    Doesn't this say it's raid? It's a weird ZFS raid but raid.

    @willie, as @skorous noted, it's basically RAID 5.

    My hosts are running ZFS, which is a filesystem that includes RAID functionality, checksums, along with RAM caching, disk caching, and more. For instance, I am running compression to speed up reads/writes while reducing disk space.

    Imagine it as software RAID 5 but with additional features.

    It is like RAID5, but named as RAIDz1 with ZFS.

    The host server itself gets a 1 gbit connection, so I'm wary of allocating anything else.

    It's a bit strange. The order page says " Unlimited Bandwidth" but this offer thread says there is a10TB BW addon.

    Edit: I would guess that the BW is unlimited and the "up to 10TB" is for disk space.
