Yh, somewhat temping but somewhat too much.
Actually, I was looking for something like that previous BF offer:

    UK KVM - London

    2 CPU Cores (E3-1270v6)
    4 GB RAM (DDR4)
    70 GB NVMe Disk Space
1 gbit port speed (shared/ DDOS protection included)
    4 TB Transfer / month
    1 x IPv4
    1 x /64 IPv6
Free Direct admin license on demand
    Network test page: > https://as62240.net/tools
    Order Link
    €45 /year

    Which is now 60€/y.

So the main points are that you want less bandwidth, slower CPU cores but more disk? (genuine question, hard to judge on this side)

More disks? Isn't the current offer 50GB + 20GB bonus so equally big? And yes, Bandwidth is way too much. 2-4TB is sufficient.

I'm about to hit "Complete Order" button for KVM 1024, but I guess there's no harm asking :)

    2 x vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 20 GB Disk, 1000 GB Bandwidth

I guess I can look at reduced offers in terms of BW and perhaps disk etc, maybe for Cyber Monday :)

The thing is server hardware prices and IP prices are sky-high now compared to when the last hardware was bought that was used in the previous offers, it has to make sense financially if you want to see us here next year :)

I see, an 8GB option would be ok too. Anything more is just over requirements. Something like your 16GB package with just a couple TB bandwidth (like 4-8TB), and reduced disk if it makes a difference, for something around 180€/y.

  • Indeed something like this

    2 CPU Cores
    3/4 GB RAM (DDR4)
    30-50 GB NVMe Disk Space
1 gbit port speed (shared/ DDOS protection included)
    1 TB Transfer / month
    1 x IPv4
    1 x /64 IPv6
Free Direct admin license on demand

  • @InceptionHosting price for 16gb is $11/y

Same deal for same price would be sweet. I'm also waiting for a similar deal from the march sale for 2GB and 4GB. Traffic has no value for me personally, I rather have a cheaper plan or more storage.

  • InceptionHostingInceptionHosting Hosting ProviderOG

Ok so based on the feedback and PM requests and tickets I think what I may look to do is put the specs back to standard and offer a slightly deeper discount on a few select plans like the 2GB and 4GB plans.

When? right now I don't know, latest Cyber Monday I suppose

Indeed, some 4-8GB plans look promising at any time but sooner than later I'll have burned my CC.

Generally (not specific to IH) my limits are basically €15 /year for 1GB and €25 /year for 2GB+50 NVMe. Trading down any other specs is fine. Beyond that the biggest influences are location and reliability.

In other words, the existing 1G+40 NVMe for €15 is pretty interesting for me! I probably wouldn't pay double for the extra 10GB storage though.

  • If you are looking for suggestions, maybe:

    UK, 2 vcpu, 2GB, 50 NVMe, 2TB bw €20/yr

No, I think he's not going to beat his prices from last year.

Not sustainable on the new hardware with new IP pricing.

Maybe with no IPv4 at all it would be possible

Too much bandwidth we don't wanna pay for. Computing power, RAM and a little storage is good for this kind of CPU. For storage and bandwidth you've got another deal.

Is it 2vCore and 4GB RAM? I was already suprised we get more than the default 2 vCores. :joy:
