NodeWatch get mail spam alert without suspending

sweatbarsweatbar Hosting Provider

Hi Guys,

We are with Hetzner and recently a set of users have started sending spam mails from our VPS Servers. I just wanted to know whether there is an option to get the alert according to a certain threshold without suspending the container in nodewatch?

Or is there any other software that you guys use?

Thanks in advance.

  • Close port 25 or other related to smtp, I belive only small users who used that for actual email server, so yeah, allow open port 25 by tikets..

MaxMind - Automated fraud detection and prevention plugin, but they had some bugs that's why I leave them few years ago. Don't know if they fixed that yet or not, but definitely a option to checkout. This can be easily integrated with your WHMCS billing software.
FraudLabsPro - Currently using FraudLabsPro, it's reliable and automated, can be easily integrated with WHMCS, just follow the steps: https://www.fraudlabspro.com/supported-platforms/whmcs

PS: Don't use WHMCS by default FraudLabs, use FraudLabsPro own developed plugin which comes with lots of more insights.

Additional (Cherry on the cake): If you are accepting orders manually, then you can use https://www.fraudrecord.com driven by web hosting community fraud record database, where providers can report bad reputation clients, and new providers can check the client reputation before accepting the order. Can be easily integrated with WHMCS billing software.

    Cheers! 🍻
