JetBackup Public Alpha for DirectAdmin!

FranciscoFrancisco Hosting ProviderOG

Looks like we finally have something to work with!

https://billing.jetapps.com/dl.php?type=d&id=399

Some notes:

  • Only local and ssh based storage options for now.
  • Only CentOS 7 is supported as of now, CentOS 8 soon(tm).
  • Works just fine with Cloudlinux 7.
  • The trial lasts for 10 days. You can contact [email protected] and they'll extend it further.

I'll throw it up on one of the BuyShared nodes this week and see how it goes.

    Don't be so hasty.

Still seeing high CPU usage that is being caused by the software.
Intermittent errors with the backup jobs being run (SSH errors).

Too busy elsewhere to dig in further, got others reporting different errors and issues back to JetApps. They are pushing fixes quickly but still.

Yeah, I saw the CPU complaint, that's why it'd be a single node testing it.

Wondering what the CPU one would be though.

  • Managed to get a lot further and have a working system, where it seemed to come together was on a fresh install of DA. That is where I believe their issues lie, so many bespoke configurations of DA out there that are causing issues.

Should be fun to try on mine. I had to build a wiki for all of my customizations after install.
