Personally haven't really used any myself. Some of our staff have used Private Internet access in the past.
Myself I just run a few in our different locations and that works well enough for me. When I used to live in Canada I used it for watching Prime and other things that would be blocked in Canada.

I've been w/AirVPN for a few years now. No complaints. I run it inside a Docker container to keep traffic 100% isolated, works great.

Why not go Proton free tier directly and premium if you need more bw/locations?

ah didn't realise they had a free tier - will check. I was looking at their mail+vpn BF stuff but their lack of proper IMAP just doesn't work for me
